Micuart McManon—a respectable-looking young man—appeared betore the Stipendiary Magistrate this forenoon, charged with the larceny of two pairs of boots from Mr. Charles Leigh. Yester- day he cast suspicion on McMahon—-he being recently in Mr. Leigh’s employ. Meeting him on the street he examined his feetwear, and found on him a pair of boots similar to those described by Mr. Leigh. McMahon was taken to the Police Station. It was afterwards discovered that McMahon traded the newest pair of the stolen boots for the ones he had on with a shoemaker named Kitchen, with whom he left the other stolen ones to be repaired.
