Joseph Irving Doucette occurred at Fort Church- ill. Manitoba. on Jan. 16th. 1957. Pie. Doucette was the victim of, an accident while testing a gun for the Canadian army. He was born nineteen years ago at North Rus- tico. P.E.l.. and at an early age came to live with his foster par- ents. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Dolron. Mayfield. P.E.I. Pte. Doucette spent his early life under the guid- ance of Mr. and Mrs. Doiron. And about a year ago joined the Can- adian Army. Here as during his earlyllfe in Mayfield. he conduct- ed himself like a gentleman al- ways ready to give his best to those he served. On the fatal mor- ning. he with his soldier r ion were on duty when suddenly nomething went wrong and Pte. Doucctte and a companion gave all they had to their country. Pte. Doucette is survived by his loser parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ed- gar J. Dolron and a foster broth- er Edward V. and a foster sister. Mrs. Earl Carr both of St. John, N.B. ' His remains were conveyed from the Charlottetown Funeral Home to St. Ann's hurch, Hope River. P.E.I. on Jan. 23rd, 1957. The funeral Mass was sung by Rev.
