A delicious lunch was served by the ladies and I. very enjoyable evening was Ind by all. -2 Musical Festival Executive Meeting The executive of the Musical Festival Association held a meet- ing on Tuesday evening, June 19th in the Vocational School. the pre- Sldent. Dr. Steel presiding. The choral reading committee asked the opinion of the meeting, concerning the introduction of solo reading to the Musical Festival syllabus, and after some discussion it was agreed to leave the decis- ion until ii later date. The need of a music director for the province was stressed, as had been previously referred to by the adjudicator at the recent Festival. It was announced that Professor Haymer of Halifax has agreed to complete the musical portion of the 1954 syllabus. The scholarship committee was instructed in future when award- ing the Musical Festival Shield to take all group school work: into consideration.
