When you read about him, listen to him speak, read something he wrote, or hear about everything that he has achieved you really can not help but admire him and think of all he has done in his lifetime. Wade MacLauchlan has done so much for this province, this country, but most impor- tantly this university. A Lawyer by training, Wade MacLauchlan has been president of UPEI since 1999. He has degrees from UPEI, UNB, and Yale. Since Wade MacLauchlan became president, UPEI has had a 40 per cent increase with enrolment, and the number = of International students attending UPEI is at an all time high (Students come from many different coun- tries). MacLauchlan played a leadership role in Wade MacLauchlan, after stepping down from the position, is starting a new term as the UPEI President Submitted photo the establishment of the National Research Council (NRC) - Institute for Nutrisciences and Health and the innovative three- way research collaboration among NRC, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and UPEI.
