Farm Community". was discussed Road has a community hall which is used freely for community acti- vities it was felt that even better use could be made of it, so I committee was appointed to work in conjunction with an equal num- ber of committee members which the Forum would ask the Women's Institute to- appoint to explore ways and means to improve the present centre. After discussing the suggested questions, the members reached the following conclusions: To question 1 (A) "If there is I community centre in your area. what contribution is it making to the life of the people in your for- um and'neighborhood?" The an- awer was: We -use our centre for most community projects. (13) "How could yourcommunity cen- tre be imipl'oved'.-'” As mentioned above an improvement committee was appointed. Question 2 dealt with districts that had no community centres and was not applicable to Whim Road. , Question 3 states ”Many people think that the school could be,st serve the lcommunlty if it were designed or remodelled to serve as a combined community centre and school. What do you think?" The members of this forum thought that the school could serve as a community centre. but in most cases it would have to be remod- elled. A' suggested topic for discussion at a later date was "ways and means of marketing". Mr. Leslie Stuart invited the members of the forum to his home for the next meeting. .
