PROVINCIAL PARKS - A PLACE FOR PARTICI-PARK-TION Prince Edward Island Provincial Parks are always on the move! The end of the summer . marks a new season and Provincial Parks are there to greet you. P.E.I. Provincial Parks attempt to make your stay in the area, be it an hour or two or longer as active _ and interesting as possible. 3 The fall season provides ideal conditions for camping at Mill River, Strathgartney anda Brudenell Provincial Parks. The air is still warm and the insects for the most part a gone. Many of them take a simple solution to the problem of the approach of winter, they simply give up and die, leaving behind a great storehouse of eggs and pupae to repopulate once the warm weather returns. Consequently, with no insects to bother you, picnicking in the campground or in the day use areas of the parks is a time to be enjoyed by all. The playgrounds are also maintained in these parks as well as the availability of loan-out equipment for those who might enjoy baseball, horseshoes, croquet, giant checkers, etc. You can also show off your skills at golf or frisbee golf. For the people who have an interest in natural things, the opportunity exists to explore the park and see the products of the summer's growing season in the form of fruits, nuts, and berries or maybe you would be so lucky as to observe the simplest and most dramatic spectacle of the fall - migration. Rather than facing the problems of survival created by the winter, in the best escapist tradition, birds and some insects simply fly south. Therefore, if it‘s fresh air and outdoor education and recreation you want - be a member of partici-park-tion - join us in P.E.I. Provincial Parks. -~— w
