The husband of Mrs. Lane, a tall, able, well built, middle- }aged man, arrived here on Thursday night in j}search of his wife and the fellow Pearson. | He secured the services of Policeman Camer- | on and a constable. They searched the city | for Pearson but he could not be found. They discovered, however, that he was at Vernon River with Mrs. Lane. The services of Deputy Sherif Curtis were obtained, and a writ was issued against Pearson, The Sheriff went to Vernon River yesterday, arrested him, and he now lies safely in (Jueen’s County Jail awaiting results. Lane states that Pearson boarded with him at Petticodiac, and that he was sus- picious of impreper intimacy between Pearson and his wife for some time.
