The-smooth working arid dependable League of the Cross team. namely the "Rovers" proved themselves top-notchera, winning nino out of their eleven games, which they participated in, and again bringing the honors to the Iieague of tho Cross, who last year also succeeded in capturing high honors. , It is really too bad that the win-.. ners oi second place did not have a chance to prove themselves, as there yet remained two games to be played. According to the schedule games so far completed the Charlottetown Al- lvys are leading for second honors by one single game, but, this team seems to have lost all interest in the sched- ule, and on two occasions failed to have their team on hand, while the Y. M. C. A. men were on the Alleys trailing to get going. it has recently been decided by of- ficials that if the Charlottetown team did_ not wish to complete the sched- ule the honors ior second place would then be awarded to tho Y. M. C. A. It therefore looks very much as if the Y. M.C.A. will be pronoun- ced winners of second place. This year's bowling which has just been completed was equally as good as last year with the exception of the cause which has just been given. The scores this year were equally asgood ii not batter than last year's. Some of the high scores which were rolled during the league are as follows: The highest single score of the lea- guo was roiled by E. McMillan (loa- gue oi the Crou) having a score of 365. The highest total for three con- secutlve games was captured by J. A. Bentley (Y.M.0.A.) making a totsl of Bil pins. And the biggest pin- iali being made by J. McMahon (L. 0. C.) with a. total of 7529 which is an average oi 685 pins in each game. The League of the Cross made a wonderful record this year, having s total pin-fall for eleven games oi 34863 pins which gives them an aver- age of 3118 pins for each game rolled by them in the league. these games being on the three alleys, namely. Ch'town, Y.M.O.A. and L. O. C. The Y.M.C.A. were second with 82530 pins an average of 2W1 and the Ch‘- town. who only rolled ten games, suc- ceeded ln getting 2926B or an average ii 2926 in each game. It is hoped that next year the schedule will be still batter than the one just passed, and that it will be adopted with the best oi interest by the ontostants and fans. Newson. Charlottetown.
