San Dieco, Cai., Dec. 29.—The British erviser Leander and the torpedo destroyer Virago have arrived on their way to Esquimalt. The ships left Portsmouth, England, last August, sailing at an aver- age speed of twelve knots. The crniser Phaeton, with the destroyer Sparrow Hawk, following the Leander and Virago, and is expected to arrive here within two weeks. The Phaeton and Leander are sister ships, as also the 8parrow Hawk and Virago.
