giioted in our news columns. It is an
'interesting fact that the most re-
markable instances of longevity

and South America. Especially great
are the ages attained by indians
dwelling in the highland tropics, a
fact noted by the observant Baron

About two decades ago Gen. Wil-
liani Palmer of the famous Palmer-
Sullivan combination who built the
national railroad from Laredo to

rig-htly attributed to his frugality,
his life in the open air, and his in-
herited lack of ‘nerves.' His mind is
