This Association has been formed' for the purpose of developing throughout the country asupply of pure and carefully improved seed. The importance of this work is being mon- fully realized from year to year, and farmers in general arc taking n far great- er in erest in the quality of the seed they purchase. Attention is directed io n meeting of the members of this Associat ion which is to be held in the Board Room ofthe Winter Fair Building, at Amherst, on Tuesday afternoon, December 5th, at 2o'olock P. Every one interestedin the improvements of seed and the advancements of agriculture in general is cordially invited tq be present at the meeting. in an article dealing with the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Victoria Times says: “Not the least of the lesser luminaries, although he is perhaps not a railway man in the strict sense of the term. is George l{. Ham. The exact position of Mr. Ham in the economy of the Canadian Pacific Railway has never been authoritatively designated that we know of. What we do know is that hc‘is a powerful factor in mnking for the great popularity of the line. It is doubtful whether any other railway orsteamship company in theworld possesses an odlcial clothed with such powers or constrained by such commands, which appear to go forth 'id make the Canadian Pacific Railway a popular insti- tution. \Vhat wears sure of is that Mr. Ham has succeeded in his mission. That may be due to some extent to Mr. Ham's training as a newspaper man. His ex~ perience teaches him always to keep in touch with the right people-that is, the people who have the means of telling oth- ers, and large numbers of others, of the wonders of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Mnliam is now in Great Britain. There he has placed himself in communication with the right people again, and has been instructing them upon the suhieot nearest his heart. Mr. Ham, however, has also been drawing attention to the prospects of Canada. ___.__-_.1-5 British Cough Cure-is an invalua remedy at this season of the year. Few people are aware of the value of this form of sulphur in restoring and maintaining bodily vigor and health: sulphur acts directly onthe liver, and excretory organs and puritles and enrich- es the blood by the prompt elimination of waste material. Our grandmothers knew this when they dosed us with sulphur und molasses every sprlng and full, but the crudity and im purity of orriinury flowers of sulphur were oiten worse than the disease, und. cannot compare with the modern concentrated preparations of sulphur, of which Stuart, Calcium Waters is undoubtedly the best and most widely used. They are the natural antidote for liver and kidney troubles and cure constipation and purify the blood in a way that often surprises patient and physician alike. Dr. R. M. Wilkins while experimenting with sulphur remedies soon found that the sulphur from Calcium was superior to any other form. He says: “For liver, Kidney and blood troubles, especially when resulting from constipation or malarin, I have been surprised at the re- sults obtained from Stnart's Calcium Waters.
