He adheres to the story that his name is McGinn’s and also that he was born in London. His reason for tell- ing the yarn is that he was sent away from home, and in order to spite his relatives concluded to get into disgrace. He had relatives in both England and Ireland npon whom the confession would bring shame and disgrace.
