of passengers from Victoria this
morning who were delighted with the
trip and scenery. The steamer left

in. and again sailing at 3.30 p. m._,
The round trip up East River will be

Mr. Taylor, Division Manager ot
the Canadian Home Investment Com-
pany, and M. W. Carrier, Bt. John,
N..B.. came to Charlottetown last
evening. Mr. Carrier, who came to
look over the territory, will likely rs-
main in chargeof this branch. It is
pleasing to learn that Mr: Richards,
the present manager, has been _pro~
muted and will leave in ashort time
for the head office in Vancouver, B.
