butterfly, dressed in the gorgeous coi-
ors of spring was brought in by Mr.
Ambrose Ferguson. Suffolk. These in-
dications on St. Piitrick's Day lead to
the usual hope for an early spring.
PLEASANT EVENING-A most en-
joyable time was spent Monday even-
ing at the lionio ot' Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam Acorn, 37 Orlebar street, by the
employees of Moore & McLeod's store,
the evening eiitertaiiiinent being in
lioiior of Mr. John (‘., Stewart, who is
leaving shortly as ii member of the
Charlottetown lieavy Brigade Artil-
lery to be garrlsoiied at Halifax. Var-
ious games provided lots of fun and

Misses Acorn and Mclienzie and o.
