Bil- ly LeClair scored again for the Saints one minute and 2 se- conds later on an unassisted ef- fort. Ron Giggey closed out the scoring in the period with a goal at 16.34. The Rangers stuck to hockey for this period and as ‘a result they collected only three penalties. None of the pen- alties in this period resulted ‘n goals a beautiful solo effort. Kennedy picked up a loose puck at cen- ter~.ce, skated into the St Dun- stan's end and drew out goalie Carl McQuaid perfectly and just nudged the puck into the net. At 10.56 Giggey scored his ec: :d of the night with assists going to Herbie Steele and Cecil Mac- Donald. From this point on the game was ail for the Saints, they checked thé® Rangers into the ice and then moved in to take three or four close in drives on Reid before the Rangers could get back into the play. When the Rangers did start a drive the Saints gave McQuaid a lot of protection Billy Weatherbie ended the scoring in the second period with Alan Flood helping out The Rangers got real rough in this period and as a result the spent a total of 15 minutes in the venalty box. The most ser- ious offence in this period was a spearing penalty to Jack Mc- Eachern Cecil MacDonald and Billy Weatherbie scored in the third period before Mike MacDonald scored the Rangers second and last goal of the night. The Rangers really got out of line as far as referees Don Wha- len and Grant Crockett were concerned as they served 2 minutes in the penalty box while the high flying St. Dunstan's team received only one minor.
