Most of the injured were treated on the scene. but some were taken to hospital for further treatment and observation. It was estimated 50 persons were in the area struck by the car. A crowd of 4,000 was watching the races at the track, which has no stands. Another car behind the one in- volved swerved to avoid the first and turned end over end. The driver escaped injury.
