Although he had attain- ed the age of 76 years he was quite active and was well known and highly esteemed. He leaves to mourn his wife the former Emma Hamill, one son and two daugh- ters, mer of the C.A.A.1"., Hali- fax, . S. (Blanche), Mrs. Leo J. McGrath. Jerse City, and Virtus. R..N., Moncton, . 5.; also two bro- thers, William, Middleton, a d Ezekiel. Kinkora. His funeral too place on Saturday. Alli. 12th. to St. Malachi's Church, K nkcra and was largely attended. Rqluiern Mass was celebrated by Rt. Rev. J. A. Murphy, his pastor, with Rev. N. Keefe and Rev. W McCardle in the Sanctuary. The large number of Mass Cards, flowers and mes- sages of sympathy testify to the high esteem in which Mr. Roberts ‘was held. The pail-bearers were six nephews of the decease-‘i Aus- tin Roberts.
