Dr. John M Martin and wife, London, Eng., are registered at the Queen Hotel. Mrs Martin was formerly Bessie Starr Keefer, the talented temperance lecturer. Dr. Martin is a native of this province. Dr. M. F. Bruce, of St. John, died at that place yesterday, after about a week’s illness of brain fever. Dr. Bruce was 49 years of age, ard was born in Valleyfield, this province. He was well and favorably known throughout the provinces, and his death is greatly mourned. Mr. Wm. V. He went to North Dakota in July 1887, since which ; time he bas lived continuously in the Red River Valley, first at Pembioe, and later at Ardock. He was aclever student and has been very successful in the ministry.
