A Woman Killed In Alberta tlic Montague locality is the fol- lowing itcm taken from the Ed- monton Journal: STONY PLAIN-A spectacular truck-train collision Dec. 1st i claimed the life of Gordon Kreye. 23. when the truck in which he was driving was struck at a level crossing on the main street by a freight train. The truck, which burst into' flames was wrapped around the cnginc of H19 train and carried for about three-quarters of a mile. . The truck was driven by Joe Van Pctcrghen. North Battleford. Saslc. who was killed instantly. Gordon Kreye (lied later in Ed- monton Hospital from injuries and burns. According to witnesses the train continued for about three quar- ters of a mile before it came to R stop. Wrapped around the HI- glne of the train was the burn- ing truck. The truck caught fire at the impact. The fire burned even the flag flying from the lo- comotivc.
