California. at White's Fun- eral Chapel for Frances A. Boat- es. who would have been 93 on November 25. Mrs. Boates. who came to Mill Valley in 1926 to live with a son. Arthur R. Boates, passed away November 11. at Garden Rest Home. Santa Cruz after a short illness IMrs. Boates was well known in the Bay Area. where she made many, friends. Having lived for a short time with her daughters. Mrs. Elwood Wlallace t Hlazelt. tMrs. W.I. Hobson (Irene) both of Albany, and Mrs. M.W. Roper (Frances) of Piedmont: she is a—l so survived by two other sons George C. Botes of Stockton and Harry D. Boates of Santa Cruz; two sisters. Mrs. Janet Alexair der and Mrs. Margaret Alexand- er and a brother. Fred Camp- bell, all of Campbell/non, New Brunswick, Canada, eight grand- children and 3 great gnandchil- dren. Mrs. Boates was a native of Summerside. Prince E d w a r d Island, Canada, where she tau- ght school until her marriage to John Boates who passed away in 1918.
