The scholars acquitted themselves most creditably in the diiierent subjects; showing n marked improvement during the past six months. At the close of the ex- amination a program oi songs, reci- tations and dialogues were nicely rendered by the scholars and thor- were given by the teacher to several of the pupils for good attendance. She was then presented with a purse in behalf oi the school, accompanied by remarks from several of those pre- sent.
