September 26th. when Mary stella Bradley ot Kelly's Cross and Charlottetown became the bride of Andrew Gai- lant oi Charlottetown. The marriage ceremony was pertormed by Rev. Kenneth Mac- Millan. P.P. of Kelly's Cross. who also celebrated the Nuptial Mass. The bride. who was given in marriage by her brother Peter, wore a floor-length dress of white taffeta with hoop skirt and three- quarter length veil with halo of tulle illusion, caught with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet oi red roses. Her only attendant was her sis- ter Rita. who wore a dress of floor-length peach satin with three-quarter length veil and car- rled a mixed bouquet of giadioli. The groom was ably supported by his cousin. Mr. Art LeClair. while the ushers were Mr. Austin Bradley. a brother of the bride. and the K1'0om's brother Frank. Mrs. Joseph Dougan capably pre- sided at the organ with Mr. Frank J. Flood rendering several beauti- ful hymns in his usual good form. About thirty-rive invited guests were present in the church as well as many other friends and ac- quaintances of the bride and groom. Upon leaving the church the happy couple and their invited guests drove to the beautiful Kep- poch Beach Hotel where a. bount- oous repast awaited them. The bridal table looked beautiful with a large three-tit-r wedding cake baked by Mrs. O'Holloran. a friend of the bride, occupying a promin- ent place in the center. After all had done justice to the tasty and substantial dinner, Mr. F. Pius Smith. a cousin of the bride took over as toastmaster. The toast to the bride was pro- posed by Rev. Fr, MacMillan and responded to by 'the groom. A number of the other guests also made some very complimentary rcniarks and all wished the newly- weds all of the best for many years t.o conic. An enjoyable dance was then lengaged in until about 4.30 in the afternoon, the music being torn- ishcd by Messrs. Connie Doiron. Leo and Frank Gallant, with Mr. F. J. Flood at the piano. That same evening the happy couple was entertained at a giant reception at the home of the groom's mother. Mrs. Gilbert Gal- lant of Hope River. Upwarcis of one hundred guests were present and after a delicious supper the festivities u'et'e carried on until the wee small hours of the morn- ing. The next day the bridal couple set out on a short honeymoon trip through the Mnritimcs. The bride's going-away costume was a navy blue gabardine suit with match- ing accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Gallant will reside in Charlottetown where the groom is a talented interior and exterior decorater. They will reside at 52 Spring Park Road. Mass, on September 2nd at three-thirty in the afternoon, when Miss Eileen Louise Campbell oi la Forest Bt.. only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Campbell Irishtown. RE. I.. became the Iiride of Robert Walter Hansen. only son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hansen, Somer- ville. Mass. The Rev. Roland Preston Rice, T.H.D., officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride entered the church on the arm of her cousin, Mr. Frank Hazeiwbod, by whom she was giv- en in marriage. Her gown was of white faille with sweetheart neck- line. long pointed sleeves. titted bodice and a lull train. She wore a jewelled headpiece with linger- tlp veil. and carried a cascade ot CHARLOTTETOWN the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was or aqua fame with bus- tle back and net panel. and she carried a cascade of yellow gladi- oli. Miss Gail I-iazelwood, cousin of the bride was Junior bridesmaid. wearing yellow failie. also !ashion- ed with bustle back and net panel. I-ler bouquet was of yellow and mauve 'muma. and both brides- maids wore 'mums in their hair and mitts matching their gowns. Mr. Raymond Powell. friend of the groom was best man. The ush- era were Ewen Davison, John Perdikis, Walter Nomeyke and Gerald Smith. A reception for one hundred guests was held in the church ves- try. The beautifully decorated ti-.ree-tier wedding cake was cut in traditional manner by the bride and groom. The bride! mother chose grey with black accessories tor her daughter's wedding. and wore an orchid corsage. while ,the groom: mother wore a purple dress with tea. and a corsage of gardeniaa.
