Along with look- ng for input on the Student Loan program I would be happy to re- ceived any suggestions on either existing or new services the finan- cial aid office could provide. As some students may or may not know, the University Scholar- ship and Awards Committee makes available bursaries every year on the basis of both merit and/or need. Presently, there are some students who apply who aren’t receiving a bursary because there just isn’t enough of the green to go around. If any stu- dent sub-organization would be interested in contributing to the general fund or setting up a bur- sary for a specific discipline they may contact either Mr. Mike Hennessey, Registrar or myself. However, it may be a way for sub-organizations to help FINANCE At the March 2, 1986 meeting of Council a Finance By-law was tabled by SU Treasurer, John Orr. It will be debated at the March 16, 1986 SU Council Meeting. The by-law is a result of the recent changes in the Constitution. The following is a brief sum- mary of the Finance By-law: The general averview state- ment states that the Treasurer is ultimately accountable to Council for the financial af-. fairs of the SU.
