Large Attendance At Eucharistic Congress The ninth Eucharistic Congress of the Diocese of Charlottetown was held yesterday at the Parish of St. Simon and St. Jude, Tignish. u'Ilt?l'c pastor, Rev. July 10. 1957 i Serious Cases Al Summerside Two preliminary hearings were continued in Magistrate's Court Summcrside Tuesday. Magistrate R.S. Hinton presiding. Both were adjourned until llttll o'clock Wed- a Wellington man charged with judgment. Some evidence heard in the case of a Tyne Val- li years of age. Mr. D.O. Stewart. Q.C., is Crown prosecutor and accused that the public had to wait in court sometimes two or three hours to enter a plea oi guilty in highway traffic cases. The magis- trate said he had asked for assist- ance from the Attorney General's Department in this matter but none was forthcoming. He stated the criminal cases have priority and because of this the highway traffic cases are not receiving disposition. Sudden Death Of Tignish Woman The sudden death occurred at her home in Tignish on July 7th of Mrs A.J. MacDonald in her 73rd year. The late Mrs MacDonald. who was a native of Tignlsh. had been in her usual good health up to the time of her passing On Sunday she was stricken with a heart at- tack from which she did not reco- vcr and passed away within a few hours. She was general favorite with all who were privileged to know her and was at all times ready to aid and assist anyone in need of comfort or help. Of a quiet and generous disposition she will be greatly missed in the community where she spent the greater part of her life and in her home she will be sadly minded by her sur- viving relatives. She was president of the Tlgnlsh Ladies Aid of the Western Hos- pital a project to which she gave a great deal of her time and at- lention. Her husband, the late Austin MacDonald. predeceased her some years ago and she leaves to mourn her passing. one brother. William E. Morrissey, Port Moody, B.C.; one son Louis, Red Deer.
