Many cf the most prominent residents of King`s County were in attendance and showed by their enthusiam that thi y are prepared to do their part in the com. ing contest. The principal work of the afternoon was the appointment of persons to take charge of tho different polling booths on election day. Every polling booth in Kings County has been pro~ vided for in this way with earnest and erergctic workers, Their names, it is hoped, will appear tomorrow. Immediately after the a`l ance meeting the executive of -the public _meeting commiftee of the I. O. ti. T. cf P. E. Island. met in the same hall forthe same purpose as well as to transact ether im~ portant business. The sum of $15 was voted towards the campaign. A committee was appointed f. om the Alliance to co-operate with the Grand Lodge public meeting committee to arrange fcr meetings throughout King’s County and the Grand ledge committee made arrangements for Queens County east of the Hillsboro.
