Since the organization of the first credit union in the Prov- ince on May 29. 1936. the move- ment has grown steadily. Total assets at the end of last year were 5844.633, an increase of 573.- 832 over the preceding year. To- tal savings amounted to Ki'53.957. an increase of 570.465. Total income for the period was 540.223, an increase of 135,085. Total operating expenses of 518.804 left a net income of b21.419. The most important items oi the operating expenses were Cunn lnsurnnrc. .W.4T4. and salaries. 35.742. There has been considerable increase in both items over the past year.
