CAMPUS COMMENT Should the student union publish student evaluations of professors? It’s a good idea to have student views. It doesn’t seem like there is anything we can do or say about a bad profes- Shelley MacNutt 3rd yr. Education. I disagree. Many slack students take out frustrations on good professors. Paul MacDonald sor. 2nd year Bio It is a good idea, but how will they be evaluated? Chris McKinnon Dave Gormley Barb Beacon Margaret O’Connor Advice to women from women who are “fed-up” It’s the “fed-up” duo back again to give the female population of the campus a few points to ponder. we’re stupid or something, with their lame come-ons and pick-up lines. And so, here we go again. Paint To Ponder #1: Have youever noticed that men feed you a line like, ‘‘Oh baby, you’re so ”’ (You fill in the blank). If your r¢ésponse is along the lines of ‘‘Really ... ?’’, they take this as a sign that you are gullible and will put out. Point To Ponder #2: If you should respond to any comment a man says with ‘‘Oh, you’re just ‘saying that”’, remember, they are. They want you to put out. Point To Ponder #3: If you should gain some male’s affection/attraction that you don’t want, ignore it. It will go away. Point To Ponder #4: If you did gain some male’s affection/attraction that you did want but chose to ignore it at the time, remember this: if he was really worth it, he would have stuck 14/X-Press/November 18, 1993 A s we mentioned before, men must think around. If he wasn’t, he probably said ‘‘F*ck it’’ and left to go ‘‘do’’ someone else. Point To Ponder #5: If you are dating a certain male who is being harassed or trailed by a certain ex, ignore her. She’ll go away. If the harassing ex does not go away, tell your man to tell her off before you do. Point To Ponder #6: If the harassing ex does not go anyway’ even though both of you have told her to leave you alone, call Ward Nine and ask them to come pick her up. Point To Ponder #7: Have youever noticed that men are confusing? One minute they appear as if they don’t really want to talk to you, but get jealous when you talk to another guy. They might have thought you were the nicest girl they had ever met, but after they get jealous, they call you a tramp/slut, ete. Point To Ponder #8: Why are men not straight- forward about what they want? Actually, some men are: put out or get out. But what about the others, should there be another ‘‘type’’?_ Why don’t they just say what they want or mean? |! they did then we women would not have to play that stupid “‘cat-and-mouse’’ game that drives you men crazy. Point To Ponder #9: What do men wail, anyway? Do they really think we will all ‘‘pu out’’ on the first date? Do men actually have any goal in life other than ‘‘getting laid’”! Women do, and possibly some men do, too. Perhaps they are hiding and that’s why wome! can’t find them. Point To Ponder #10: When there are tw! women who are interested in the one man, bt will pick the more aggressive. What reaso! could the man possibly have for this? He think: that the more aggressive woman is more like!) to ‘‘put out’’. Point To Ponder #11: Have you ever consié ered that women are more advantaged by wea" ing dresses and skirts? The dress is a lot easi¢ to get out of in that moment of passionate hast¢ The poor man has to slow himself down with th' constrictive pants and therefore ‘‘ruins th! moment’’. And they say that women take a lon! time to get dressed. Point To Ponder #12: Have you ever consié ered any of these things before? If you had, wouldn’t have to give you these ‘‘points | ponder’’. Think about it!! CHRISTINE PARKER at LISA ROBINSO!
