Sunday School Convention Al Crapaud On June Ind. forty-three deleg- ates from nine of the thirteen Sunday Schools in the South East Prince District, met in annual convention in the United Cmircn at Crapaud at 3 p.m. Devotions were led by Rev. E.R. Woodside, Tzyon. Mrs. J.D. MacFnrlane ex- tended a cordial welcome to the delegates and visitors. The presid- ent, Mr. Douglas MncFai-lsne, Fernwood, spoke briefly‘ and then introduced the guest speaker, Rev. James B. Wilson, Truro, NS. In the absence of the secretary, Mrs. Robert Crawford, Mrs. Sheldon Howatt was appointed pro tem. Rev. Mr. Britten. Central Bedeque, called attention to the loss sus- tained by the district convention Resolutions were adopted as foi- lows: (l) Resolved that we thank Rev. Mr. Wilson (representirg the M.R.E.C.) for his stimulating ad- dress and leadership on this oc- casion; also the president, secre- tary. and other officers of the convention for fine services ren- dered during the past year. (2) That we express our deep reggret in the los sustained in the death of Mr. Spurgeon Clark, Vice-pres- ident of the convention. An enjoyable dance was held in Bloomfield Station hall on Friday evening, June 3rd. Music was sup- plied by the Getson-Arbing orches- tra. A very large crowd attended the dancing party held in St. Lawrence hall on Tuesday evening, May 31st. Music was supplied by the Getson-Arblng orchestra and was very much enjoyed by all present. Mr. John S. Murray and son Ian have returned to Toronto, Ontario, after spending three weeks in this vicinity. They were accompanied on remain there for some time.
