L-l464. -—-TWO INJURED IN CRASH- Marne Kennedy and Major Mac- Gregor last night were recovering from numerous cuts and bruises following a narrow escape from death when their automobile, pro- ceeding about 35 miles per hour. skidded into a. wheel trench and crashed into a bridge culvert throwing them through the wind- shield. MaJor MacGregoi" landed in a wire fence 20 feet from the bridge. The car, after passing over the concrete coping which tore off the base of the engine, toppled over on him- Meanwhile. Mr. Kennedy who landed in the road in a dazed condition and with the assistance of two small girls, lkted the machine off MacGi-elzoi- who was almost strangled. Mac- Gregor was taken to Mrs. Turn- er's nursing home in O'Lea.ry, not far from the scene of the acci- dent, by Willard Betts where he was treated for a deep cut in the neck and another on the side of the face as well as superficial cuts and. bruises. Kennedy was taken to the home of John MacPherson who was passing by where Mrs. MacPhei-son, a nurse, rendered frist aid. He suffered a. bad gash near the right temple, had his teeth loosened and several lacer- ations about the face. Both men were later treated by Dr. B. W. Taiiton. The men were proceeding home from West Point, P. E. L, when the accident occurred.
