UNIVERSITY OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND 102.3 FM § 706 AM CABLE® CAMPUS Welcome You knew it was eventually going to happen. Both you and I knew it was coming and no matter how hard we tried to ignore it, it wouldn’t go away. Some of us look forward to it with dread, others anticipate its arrival. Now it’s here and we all have to accept it. What in the world am I talking about? The start of the academic school year of course! CIMN extends a welcome to everyone returning this year and a special welcome to Frosh. We sincerely hope that this year is successful and fun- filled. Almost every university across Canada has a radio station and UPEI is no exception. We’re called CIMN and we offer you a variety that can’t be | found anywhere else on your radio dial. We program almost every genre of music from punk to jazz to rock to classical. We have something for everyone. We broadcast daily from 9:00 a.m. to midnight to UPEI and the surrounding community. Get Involved Our studios and office are located on the third floor of the Student Union building, the Barn. We invite you to come up to the station and take a look around. CIMN is always in need of help, doing anything from painting a poster to interviewing a hot band (Northern Pikes, Grapes of Wrath have been featured), reviewing a record to producing an advertisement, reading the news, or just spinning some records. No experience is necessary, just you and your enthusiasm. So if you happen to have an extra hour or two a week, volunteer your time to CIMN, you'll meet lots of great people, add some spice to someone’s radio, and enjoy being part of the SU’s largest sub- organization.
