POLICE COUllT—An eighteen year old Charlottetown youth was givgn a year's suspended sentence and released on two suretles of $500 each when he appeared be- fore Magistrate Martin yesterday morning on a charge of stealing a power lawn mower. The case arose from the theft -of tho machine from the back of a truck as it was parked in Douglas and Jones’ gangway on May 11th. It was dis- covered by police an hour later in the back of a car on the outskirts of the City. The owner of the car was in no way connected with the theft.
