Montague. sponsored a hilarious l-iallowe'cn party for the Hill" School students in the Legion Hall Tuesday evening. The party got under way about nine o'clock. opening with a sin: song with Mrs. Atwood MacDonald as pianist. Two very interesting films. one on hockey and the second on scouting were shown by Mr. Eric Duvar. A contest, "Place Names on P. E. l." was -won by Mr. Douglas Johnston. The second contest "Guess Who" was won by three teams. Barbara Mabon and Douglas Johnston. Fay Stewart and Arthur Ciemenis.and David Stewart and Helen wright. The students then enloyed a social hour of dancing with recorded music supplied by Mr. Duvar. Death of Mr. Edmund Coltings Al Montague A wide circle of friends were shocked to learn of the death of Mr, Edmund Collings, Montague. who passed away late Monday even- ing in his 79th year. He was about as usual until a few days prior to his passing. The late Mr. Ccllings was born in Montague. and resided he;e throughout. his life. His wife. nee Katherine Bradley. predeceased him on February i.st.. 1950. He has been residing recently with a son. Lee. The community joins with the sorrowing family in paving a. final tribute of respect to the late'Mr Ccllings. Many beautiful floral trib- utes and messages of sympathy were received.
