She will be greatly missed, not only in the home, but also in the community where her kindness and hospitality were well- known to a wide circle 'of friends. She leaves to mourn. besides her husband, a daughter. Mabel Bears of a previous marriage and four step-children, George. residing in San Antonio, Texas; Russell in Ed- monton, Alta.; Bess:':, Mrs. flus- sell MacBeth, Whim Road; and Preston living at home. also two brothers. George B.. and Melvin Hume of Brooklyn. and one sister. Elizabeth of Cambridge. Mass. The funeral, which was held at the home of her son, Preston. was very largely attended. Service was conducted by Rev. A. C. Fraser of Vaiieyfield. assisted by Rev. Don- ald Nicholson of Clyde River. Hymns sung were: "The Lord Is My Shepherd," and "Abide With Me."
