Dollars & Sense By Sean Graham We, the executive, would like to inform you that we have just completed another busy but successful week. Things look very good for the future if our Business So- ciety keeps on working the way it has been these last few weeks. Our most important activity since the last column was of course the nominations and elections for the fresh “per- son” rep. on our Society. We would like to congratulate and welcome Heather Rossiter to our executive. We are quite confident that she will do well and hope she stays enthusiastic about the society. We are surprised at the small amount of campaigning that was done on the candidates behalf but it still proved to be a very close election. It was decided that a recount of the voter be done in case any errors were made. Along that line we would like to encourage all mem- bers of the Business Society to get involved; show that you are proud to be a business student. We would like to here from any members and welcome you to stop in and see us upstairs in the Kelley Building. On that note I would like to say we have over 240 members on our society now and we would like to break 250, so get your membership today! That 5 dollars will get you a lot. Now on not so serious a note we would like to thank all those who participated in the golf tournament, it was a HUGE success considering the weather conditions. The first song on the album is also the first one to be released. It’s called “Good Times” and it’s performed by INXS and Jimmy Barnes. The song is very good and it can be classified as likable. The second song, and to me the best one on the album is written and performed by Lou Gramm. yes the same Lou who Foreigner. The name of the song is “Lost In The Shadows (The Lost Boys).” Gramm’s lyrics are power- Also the song has something to do, with the movie.. Many Gramm was in ful as is the music. soundtracks just get ‘to- gether a collection of mu- sic and cal) it a soundtrack withont any of the songs having anything te do with the movie.. The only weak- ness this has is it’s length. which is in the area song of seven minutes. Roger Daltrey sings the next song ealled ~Don*t Let The Sun Go Down On Me™. The song was written by Elton John. Untortunately that is the only good thing about the song beeause it is a bor- ing, slow tempo song. An adventure soundtrack is no place for a waltz like this. In fact. the song sounds bet- ter in 45 rpm then it does in 33 rpm. The final song is performed by INXS and Jimmy Barnes, and is called “Laying Down The Law”. The song is good but not great. Echo and the Bunney- men have the first song on the second side of the al- it is an old Doors classic called “People Are Strange”. [f you haven't noticed by now I’m a lit- tle indecisive about this al- bum. I wouldn’t run right out and buy one in case they sold out, but T also wouldn’t say it would be a waste of money to buy it.
