Almost every night between fif- teen and twenty aspiring boxers go through their paces in the old Curling Rink under Mr. Stewart's watchful eye. Swimming Tesis Al Mill River Twenty candidates passed the Swimming and Water Safety Tests conducted by Mrs. Harry Cudmore and Miss Felice Arsenault at a beautiful beach on Mill River on Monday afternoon. August 15th. Mrs. Marcia Pate, Swimming and Water Safety Instructor has given daily lessons ln this area for the past five weeks. Miss Betty Pate assisting her sister dilririg the class periods. Many of the motnibers of this class lived several miles from the Swimming Centre and each day parents accompanied the younger children. Two of these parents availed themselves of the opportun- ity to improve their swimming skills and passed the tests success- fully. such keen interest displayed by leading citizens will do much to spread Water Safety knowledge and therefore will be instrumental in reducing unnecessary wster tragedies.
