Mrs. Leslie Stuart. opened the meeting with the "Col- lect Ior Club Women." Mrs. M: J. Munro. secretary. called the roll to which members responded with "A Kindness Someone Has Done For Me." There was an at- tendance ot nine together with three visitors. The Red Cross Convenor. Mrs. Cecil Campbell reported that the Red Cross work distributed among the members had been almost completed and would be delivered to their office in Charlottetown in the near future. Mrs. Wesley Campbell gave an interesting report on the Institute handbook which is being revised. Cuuespondence received by the secretary during the month in- cluded an Appeal from the Sal- vation Army 1or "Sunset Lodge." Canvassers appointed to cover the district were: Johnny Clarey and Robert Stuart. The King's County Hospital acknowledge a donation previously received from the In- stitute. The delegates to the annual dis- trict convention executive meet- ing held in l-laathardale recently brought back an interesting report of plans for the coming convention. The district convention this year is to be held in Grandview. The committees for the month gave their reports as follows: Sick. several calls were reported made during the month. Appointed were Mrs. Russe MacBeth and Mrs. Webb Nicho son; school. It was agreed that a new dust broom be bought. the Institute paying part of the cost. it was agreed that the music teacher, Mr. Vernon Ross. hold classes again for the coming school year. An amount was voted towards a treat for the school children; entertainment - The program for the evening con- sisted ot several written contests held by Mrs. Robert Campbell and Mrs. M. J. Munro. winners were: Miss Edith MacDonald and Mrs. Lawrence Stuart; penny sale. Tile monthly penny sale was held by Mrs. Garnet Moore and the holder of the lucky ticket was Mrs. Wesley Campbell. The next meeting is to be held in the school house. Roll call at this meeting is to be a joke and pay- ment of five cents. also an item for a "White Elephant Sale."
