Speed Trials Atiii’ Driving Park _ Yesterday Quite a number interested in horse racing witnessed the speed -- trials at the Charlottetown Driving Park yesterday afternoon. The weather conditions were not as good as the previous day when sensation- al time was made. The track was a little heavier due to the recent rains, and there was a very strong wind. which slowed the horses up somewhat. Capt. Jackson. owned and driven by Chas. Chandler _was the only horse to best his previous time. The =Capt. in company with Brier Mac who was at his sulky wheei~all through the mile, made the spectat- ,-ors sit up when the timers an- nounced 2.14 3-5, a wonderful trott- ing mile. PRINCE EDWARD Tomorrow DETAILS OF UPTOWN BOX OFFICE / UNNEY- Blngen! Donna Harvesters time was 2.15 3-5, The Yanks time 2.15 2-5. This winds up the racing at the Charlottetown Driving Park for the year. The horses will now take ii easy ‘until the ice and the speed- way are again in order.
