Numerous relatives and friends. air and near were shocked and sad- llflltd to hear of the death of Mrs. Iouis Maccuigan, 27 Allen Street. dharlotgegown, which occurred at her home on March 31st. Mrs. MacGuigan was formerly Lillian Currie of Fairview. daugh- tor of the late Mr.snd Mrs. John Currie, and was in her fifty-first year. ' Her early life was spent in Fair- i-ieiv where she was respected by all who knew her. For some years before her mar- riage she was employed in U. S. A., iihere she had numerous friends. Tangible evidence of the esteem mid respect in which she was held mere, were the various messages of sympathy received from former friends and from the Company where she worked. iler seventeen years of married life were spent almost wholly in Charlottetown, except for 8 brief period which she, with her hus- hand and family spent in Mon- treal. There too she made many liilPl1dH who heard of her passing iiith regret. It was apparent by the unusually l.irge concourse of people who rame. to view her remains, that she possessed fl. personality capable forming lasting friendships no mat- .t:-r how wide the span of distance or time. Children in tiie neighbour- hood loved to visit her, especially the very little ones who mourned her loss sincerely. Possessing a natural musical tal- ent Mrs. McGuigan . dispersed pleasure and entert.aiinhcnt; to many, both in homes and at public gatherings, being always ready and willing to share her talent with others. For some years she was organist in st. Martin's Church. Dunstan's Basilica where Requiem Mass was sung by Rev. Father Cor- coran. Rev. Father McMahon and Rev. Father Smith were present in the Sanctuary. Service at the grave was conducted by Father Corcoran. The pallbearers were Allison Mac- Millan, Wilbert Currie. Roy Wilson, Keith Myers, Keith Dunsford, James Greenan. The family were the recipients of approximately two hundred and fifty Mass Cards, several floral tri- butes and numerous cards and mes- saves of sympathy for all of which they are deeply grateful.
