The branch has al- ways been interested in the pro- motion of sports in the com- munity. Their first venture in ,this field was the organization of the Provincial Championship ITug-‘O War Tournaments which were held in Montague from 11933-35. Since then they have al- jways been in the forefront in ‘isports promotion and their pro- ijects at various times included sponsoring the minor iprogram. operating the Com- munity Rink. sponsoring track and field. ice sports programs and giving full support to other [projects such as the Montague ,minor baseball program.
