A baseball game was held on Peakes diamond on Sunday, June 22, between Peakes Bombers and Tracadle in which Peakes defeat- ed Tracadle by a score of 8 to 2. Mrs. Charles Rogerson was a recent visitor to St. Andrews, the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Maclntyre. Due to the contraction of "pink eye” many pupils of St. Patrick's Road have been absent from class. The disease, which spread throughout the district, caused some pupils to be quite ill. Friends of Mrs. Barney Beco- vltz, nee Mary Grant, of Slough- ton, Mass., regret to hear of the death of her husband in the U. S. A. Mrs. Becovitz is the daughter of Mrs. Jane Grant, formerly of St. Patrlckis Road.
