Gates, Murray River, Assistant Sec-
retary; and W. J. Howard, Treas-
urer. Several important committees
were appointed, and the Association
settled down to business. It looks
as if there was going to be s large
attendance of delegates.
A. W. Sterns made a concise fin-
iancial report, showing that S 1111.23
had been raised in eleven months of
Missions and Denominational work.
The report ol Foreign Missions
was given by Rev. C. W. Sables,
(`averidish. It was' commended by
Field Secretary Fletcher and others.
It showed the foreign mission work
of the Maritime Baptists to _he in a
healthy state. This year the union
ol all Baptist Foreign Mission Boards
in Canada is consumated. Miss Mar-
tha Clark and Dr. Zella Clark, Bay
View, 1'. E. I., are laboring at Soni-
pct in '1ndia. '
Rev. E. P. Calder gave a. very sug-
gestive report on "Systematic Bene-
liccncc. This report was vigorouslyl
discussed, and the request was made;
that the ‘writer publish the report in
the press.
