Now they had been watching an earlier visitor in Paddy's pond. It was great big Buster i But. They had watched him tear an old stump to pieces on the shore. - He had caught' something. pro- bably a mouse. They had watched him dig open a nest of Ants. He had licked up the Ants as they had come pouring out to find out what was happening. Buster has a liking for Ants. But then Buster has a liking for almost. anything he can eat. He is not at all fussy about his food. pro- viding there in enough of it. After leaving the Ants nest he wandered back among the trees and disappeared. This was just before Bobby Coon aphfared.
