It was foundmecesacry to admit: some oi these children in the hospital for medical or ‘ I treatment beforc accepting them for admission to the Orphanage. An epidemic oi measles occurred in March-twcnty-nine children b!- ing affected. The infection was com- paratively ‘mild. and only one child developed a. serious complication. This was the only case of severe ill- ness during the year. Twelve children were brought to the P. E. I. Hospital ior minor aurg- ical operations, such as removal o! diseased tonsils and adenoida.
