ATHENS, Am-u 1 (speoln1)-_-Es-
corted by foreign warships, the royal
yacht Amphltrite, bearing the body
oi King George, arrived at the Pir-
aeus shortly beiore noon today. The
codin was carried 'hahore by the
princes and placed on a gun carriage,
which was drawn ,by forty-tour sailors
to the railway station. Dense crowds,
displaying emblems oi mourning, lin-
ed the route.
An escort oi troops accompanied
the gur. carriage, which was followed
hy the members oi the Cabinet and
the court oillcials. The body was tak-
en by special train to Athens and
was transierred to the cathedral,
where the toreign diplomats assem-
bled.
Prayers ior the dead were recited
and a brlei service was conducted.
Dowsger Queen Olga was overwhelm-
ed with gricl.
The body ot the murdered King
will lic in state beginning tomorrow,
and the funeral will take place ou
April. 2.

that an interprovincial conierence will
be held during the summer and that
dates lor the meeting will be tlxed
shortly. At the last conierence it was
understood that the questions were
still outstanding between the Domin-
ion and the Provinces. The repre-
-sentatives oi Ontario particularly re-
served certain uuestions lor iurtlmr
consideration, while it is no secret
that the Eastern Provinces are dis-
satisfied both with their declining
representation in the House oi Com-
mons and their proportion oi the
Federal subsidies. From Saskatche-
wan, also, comes a protest irom the
I‘ro\fincial Government ,against the
.Federal appropriation for roads which
it is understood the Dominion Gov-
ernment will again ask Parliament to
sanction. It is not likelv. however,

Western territories was made a
charge _against 'the whole oi, Canada
and that as the Western Provinces
were given heavy money subsidies

these Provinces- oi their lands and
other natural resources, the older
Provinces which bear the burden had
received no compensatihg advantages
and are entitled to very special con-

conlerence will meet at Ottawa.

penceiully'away to her eternal rest
at South Boston on March the Jsrd,
1913. at _the early age oi 20 years
and ten months. Deceased was a
true Christian: young woman oi a
kind and genial disposition, beloved
and respected by all who had the
plcusurc of her acquaintance, both at
ber old home in Eldon, P. E.`I., and
during her short period ot iour years
and eight months in South Boston.
She made many friends which was
evidenced at hor funeral which was
attended by n‘large concourse ci
people. Her casket was covered with
wreaths of flowers which goes to
show the esteem in which she was
held. The funeral service was con-
ducted at thc house and grave by the
Rev. W. M. Tufts, D.D., Pastor ot
First Presbyterian Church, Boston,
assisted by 'the Rev. R. Hauilhton.
Baptist minister, interment being in
Cedar Grove Cemetery, Ashmont.

tres in all parts oi the United King-
dom was held at the Waldori Hotel
