The fire was discovered about 5 o'clock, in the barn, and spread rapidly. The property has not been occupied except occasionally. for some time. Yesterday two young men of the Gilbert family drove over from Dorchester on some business, putting their horse in the barn and occupying the house for the night. Our informant had not learned how the fire oc- curred. The horse and carriage were burned im the barn.
