Among the documents seized are letters showing that correspondence has been pro- ceeding between French members of this association and the directing committee in Switzerland, which comprises several pro- minent Nihilists. Arabi Pacha’s family have shifted their residence in order to avoid violence. Arabi has again been insulted by hia Cir- cassian guard. Two notables, who are accused of aiding Arabi with money, are chained together in an underground dungeon foul beyond description. Among the correspondence of Arabi Pacha is an important letter from an aide- de camp of the Sultan, and several letters from Ahmed Essad, the Sheikh ul Asim. Broadley, Arabi's counsel, states that the letters will throw light upon the numerous telegrams found at [el el Kebir.
