A party from this town this week had many misfortunes when they motor-ed to Charlottetown. It seems coming back from town they had blowouts galore and at the last stuffed the tire but that didn't work so they had a sleep until they got a tow. An incident which took place on Thursday is worthy of notice. some children got into a punt and the boat drifted into the harbour. The children called for help and Mrs. Jas. Bridges who was near by. Put down her baby on the shore and swam out and brought tho group lo safety. During the time of repairing the Church of the Holy Trinity, the services are being held in the Par- ish Hall. It is good to see the old building getting the proper atten- tion it sc much needs. It is ons of our historic landmarks, being the first church to be built in the town and it is also connected with Island history, for hers the first day school of this district was conduct- ed and many received their educa- tion to start out in life. Capt. Kelly of the Church Army, who is in charge can give no concrete sgs of the church, he believes it to be well of the hundred mark, but the first registers are missing and the oldest rfister now in possession goes back 97 years. It is ons of the pioneer Anglican Churches and though the congregation is small in number they are endeavouring to ses the old Church standing in good shape. It is hoped that the Anglicans throughout the Island will help in seeing their Symbol in v ,. :‘l . Colored Turkish Towels. Size 17 x 34 inches.
