During his illness he was attended by Dr. Martin, of Grandview, and Dr. Mclntyre, of Montague, but the bestskill and kindest care proved una- vailing. Mr. McLeod was born in the I.s~ land of Skye, Scotland in 1827.' He emi~ grated to this country in 1841 and settled in Vallcyiield, where his kindness, integ- rity and public spirit endeared him to the community, which now so deeply re- grets his removal.
