The spirit exercised and the attention shown by those who obeyed the cell ofduty in this the first Regiment of Militia mustered for training were most creditable and praiseworthy, To Lieut. Col. Mctiill and the Officers of the Regiment the best thanks of the Commander-in-Chief are due for the atten- tion and zeal they have shown in acquiring a knowledge of their profession and the performance of their duty.
