The Panther Prints ¢* Sports November 19, 1996 FYP: Week in Review By Finley Martin In a heart breaking defeat Wednesday, November 13th, The Five Year Plan recorded their first loss of the regular season to 30 Something. The final score of this incredibly close game was 58 to 57. Dico Reyers and Geoff Smith had very strong games but even their offensive prowess was not enough to close the gap to win the game. FYP team spokesman Dave Christian, when asked about the disappointing loss, commented “We lost. It’s that plainand simple. We were just outplayed.” One missing link in the FYP last week was guard Dale Tingley. Tingley, said to have been unable to play because of unspecified injuries, is rumored to be in Toronto and practicing with the Raptors. Although this rumor has been flatly denied by FYP officials, one unnamed source says that Mr. Hands, also not at last Wednesdays game, is in Toronto negotiating a trade between FYP and the Raptors. The source, refusing to be named, states that the trade would involve Tingley, one of the other FYP players and David Stoudamire. In other FYP news, Dico Reyers admitted to news officials his dislike for FYP headcoach Mr. Hands. It seems tensions grew between the two when Mr. Hands refused to let Reyers hook his computer up courtside so that he could surf the net while he was not playing the game. Finally, Pat Preery and Finley Martin will be given prozac before games. It is the hopes of FYP management that this will help control the tempers of the two players who have been known for their quick tempers and fiery language. FYP would like to thank all the fans who come to their games. Their support is much appreciated.
